It includes a / new section bringing the story up to date from 1964 to 1994. Part of this story utilizes minutes of / Cabcomecopol and other notes that you left to me when you were cleaning out your files. I send / this to you as a memento of exciting days. I'm sorry the book is so fat. / Best wishes / Herb Stein."

Stein was chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under Nixon and Ford, and is known for "Stein's Law," which says "If something cannot go on forever, it will stop." His son is Ben Stein, of Ferris Bueller's Day Off fame.
