New York: C.S. Dunning, 1831. Octavo; vi, 412pp. Printed in two columns, with woodcut illustrations throughout. Contemporary sheep with gilt decoration to spine, borders, and board edges. Marbled endpapers. Ex-library with card pocket on back pastedown with stamps of The Fleming School Library and Ecole Francaise Reference Library, but no other stamps or library additions.

Front board splitting along bottom half of front joint and threatening to separate. Covers bumped at corners with chipping at spine ends and scuffing to surface and joints. Missing spine label. Previous owner's name (Frances O. Dummer?) dated 1832 on blank preceding title page. Pages toned with scattered foxing, but unmarked. Binding is sound.
