Good. Item #5965
Richmond: Johnson & Warner, 1810. Second Edition. Octavo; vii, [viii-1], 2-688pp +16pp index & errata. Full leather with blindstamped border and title card to spine. Boards fairly heavily edgeworn, with bumping / fraying to corners, scuffs down front joint, and some general smudging and soiling. Evidence of earlier repair down joints. Two old ownership names on front pastedown (one B.J. Darnielle, the other more difficult to make out), with notes on errata page and back pastedown. List of "English Reports Common Law" on blank page opposite start of text proper, with some bleed-through to recto. Pages otherwise internally unmarked, though with moderate to heavy foxing and toned offsetting of text block, and a fairly large dampstain to top corner of first 30-40 pages. Opens easily to between a few gatherings, but binding is secure.
