Concave warp to boards, with rubbing along edges and corners. Bottom inch of spine backing separated but present. Front joint cracked with front board loose but just holding. Front endpapers missing, with frontis partially glued to front board and first text leaf opening easily along with. Textblock bound soundly. Pages unmarked.
Campe's account of Constantine Phipps, 2nd Baron Mulgrave's 1773 expedition to the North Pole and François Pyrard's voyage to the Maldives. Part of Campe's and Rolland's juvenile "Geographic Library," which featured other volumes of voyages and expeditions. Scarce, with no copies of the Phipps / Pyrard volume and only a copy or two of other volumes in the series located institutionally at time of writing.
