Good. Item #10309
New York: The Dial Press, 1935. First Edition. Octavo; [iv], 307pp. Publisher's yellow cloth with black lettering. Yellow topstain. Lacks dust jacket. Boards a bit edgeworn, with soiling, smudging, a couple waterspots, and a few scrapes to cloth. Spine darkened and cocked. Boards shaken, with internal separation between spine and textblock (and so boards attached predominately by pastedowns) and pages opening easily between gatherings, but binding is still holding. Endpapers toned, especially along hinges. Interior clean and unmarked.
A rough but intact copy of Bestor's debut.
