Photoplay edition published in promotion of the classic 1933 RKO Pictures film starring Fay Wray. Based on an idea by Merian C. Cooper and filtered through screenwriter Edgar Wallace, Lovelace's novelization appeared a couple months ahead of the film's release as one of the few official promotional materials issued for the film. This copy signed by the original scream queen Fay Wray, who played the film's protagonist and imperilled Kong-captive Ann Darrow.
