Tall octavo. 219 pp. 26 Black and white photographs with Van Dyke's commentary below, complete. Blue cloth stamped in gilt.
Boards worn at extremities with some fraying, heaviest at spine ends, and slight lean to spine. Binding gives a little, but overall holding soundly.
Documents the shooting for Trader Horn, the first non-documentary film shot on location in Africa. Van Dyke is best known as the director of the 1934 film The Thin Man.
