Very Good / Very Good. Item #11039
New York: The Sun Dial Press, . Reprint of the 1934 Crime Club / Doubleday edition. Octavo; [x], 301pp. Illustrated dust jacket over green cloth with black lettering and illustration to spine. Green topstain. Jacket shows a number of short tears and shallow chips at edges of folds, with rubbing and some creasing along edges, some scuffing to surface, a couple stray waterspots, and foxing to verso. Boards are square with bumping to bottom corners and spine ends. Topstain faded. Light toning to endpapers. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
Bleiler calls this "a sequel of sorts to Burn Witch Burn!" though more in mood and title echo (the 1935 London / Methuen edition nodded more directly with the title Creep, Shadow, Creep!). First published by Doubleday / The Crime Club in 1934, and serialized in Argosy.
[Bleiler Supernatural 1162].
