Octavo (24x16x2cm); 252pp. Jacket with young Isherwood photographed by Humphrey Spender on the front; older Isherwood drawn by his lover Don Bachardy on the back. Brownish-plum boards with gilt spine stamping. Mustard topstain.

Jacket sunned down spine and along edges, with some rubbing along top. Boards are sturdy and square. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
