Tarzan on Mars: Being a Tale of Weird and Wonderful Happenings on the Red Planet [Collector's Edition]
N.p. Burroughsian Press, 1966. Very Good. Item #12235
N.p: N.p., N.d.; (original text: [Springfield]: Burroughsian Press, 1966). Collector's Edition. Quarto (11" x 8.5"); [x], 331pp +23pp appendix, all recto-only. Illustrations throughout. Brown leatherette with gilt stamped lettering to front and spine. Boards lightly rubbed at corners and spine ends, but sturdy and square overall. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
Unpublished, fan-circulated Burroughs pastiche by Byrne under the Bloodstone pseudonym, whose potential role as Tarzan torch-carrier was shot down by a disinterested ERB Inc. The Burroughsian Press edition was retyped and embellished with gathered illustrations then Xeroxed in a small run, which was then copied and recirculated over the years. This more nicely-bound Collector's Edition facsimile of the Burroughsian edition is itself of an unspecified print run / origin and is undated, though we would venture early 1980s as a guess.
Three copies of any edition in OCLC.
