New York: Grosset & Dunlap, [1938]. Photoplay Edition. Octavo (8.25" x 5.5");[x], 290pp. Four photo stills, all present. Additional photo card of Tommy Kelly reading a copy of this edition laid in. Illustrated dust jacket over green cloth with black lettering and illustration. Red topstain. Jacket shows a number of shallow chips and tears with adjacent creasing along edges, with one longer closed tear at top front near spine, and some general scuffs and smudges to surface. Boards clean and square with nudging to spine ends and light bumping to bottom corners. "This Book belongs to" square filled in on front and back endpapers with a contemporary ownership and "from" inscription. Pages otherwise a bit toned along edges but unmarked. Binding is secure.

Photoplay edition of the 1938 United Artists adaptation of Twain's novel.
