Rauscher moved from Paris to New York in 1878, where he worked with Louis Sherry, the noted American restauranteur, caterer, and confectioner. He moved to Washington in 1892 and opened his own catering and confectionary business on Connecticut Avenue. He died in 1917, two years after retiring. This price list offers event services in the Washington area, with full nine course meals according to one sample. Included are types of servants available and extra paraphernalia such as awnings, gilt chairs, and oval tables.
Worn around the edges and some wear to covers. Pages are bright and binding is sound.
