[102], [4], 66 pp. Illustrations and decorations in terra cotta and black by Crane throughout first volume; sheet music to volume II. Bound in publisher's cloth decorated in gilt and red. Leather title labels to spine, possibly added by previous owner. Top edge gilt; patterened terra cott and white endpapers. Housed in custom-made slipcase.

Boards show some general soiling, corners bumped, some light rippling to rear, and slightly heavier smudging to bottom of spine. A few short closed tears at crown. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.

Masse mentions the two volumes being published separately in a larger format in 1887-1888. Published here in a slightly smaller format and bound as one.
