Quarto; publisher's cloth in yellow pictorial dust jacket, in custom red cloth slipcase; [8],132pp.; three half-tone plates, text illus. throughout, sheet music in rear. Dust jacket heavily and rather crudely restored, verso backed and color touched up along margins of external extremities partially obscuring several smallish losses and closed tears; corners gently bumped, else Near Fine in a Good, albeit rather compromised copy of the dust jacket. Dedication page inscribed and signed by the author "To the Edgewood School young people from the author / Julia Ellsworth Ford / Rye / 1945."
