Three volumes; octavo; full contemporary polished calf by Riviere, gilt-tooled margins, gilt spines in six compartments with crimson and tan spine labels, marbled endpapers; engraved portrait frontispieces (tissue-guards). Leather rather rubbed and dried at margins, small loss at spine crown of Vol. I, raised bands scuffed and front joint of Vol. III starting; internally sound, with light foxing and finger-soil to preliminaries, contemporary pencil gift inscription to front free endpaper of Vol. I; overall a Very Good set in attractive, albeit flawed, Riviere bindings.
