Quite uncommon collection of lectures by the Scottish phrenologist George Combe (1788-1858). Of special note, perhaps, are the four pages of publisher's advertisements bound in rear, which include numerous works of phrenology as well as such evocative titles as Observations of the Deranged Manifestations of the Mind, or Insanity, by J.G. Spurzheim, M.D.
