Very Good / Very Good. Item #14190
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1924. First Thus. Small quarto (9.5 x 7.25"); xv, 356pp. Nine illustrations, all present. Illustrated dust jacket; bound in publisher's black cloth with gilt lettering to spine and mounted illustration to front board. Housed in later custom slipcase.
Jacket restored by prior owner with complete backing in archival tissue and some color fills and touch-ups, with evidence of a few prior shallow chips along edges and splitting along folds, and some current general smudging to surface and darkening to spine. Boards are lightly shelfworn with some nudging at spine ends, light scuffs along joints, and a bit of dust soiling to surface. Boards open a bit easily but binding is sound. A couple stray marginal thumbprints to pages, else clean and unmarked with a few still unopened along edges.
