Blindstamped purple cloth, with gilt title to front and spine and "Adam's Express Company - Eastern Western & Southern Express Forwarders" in gilt on back. Cloth is scuffed, soiled, and mottled, with rubbing along edges, bumping to corners and spine ends, and some general dulling to lettering. Endpapers foxed and occasionally smudged, with a vertical crease along back free endpaper. Interior clean and unmarked. Binding is sound.
