Light wear to extremities, textblock uniformly toned due to inferior paper quality, contemporary rubber-stamp to rear wrapper ("For Sale By Wm. Smith & Co. / York, PA"). Very Good overall.
Uncommon annual almanac issued by the Rumford Chemical Works, "Manufacturers of Rumford Yeast Powder," which features prominently in recipes for breads, rolls, griddle cakes, etc. Illustrated by Palmer Cox, creator of the Brownie series, each image accompanied by a poem touting the benefits of Rumford Yeast Powder. Also advertised inside rear wrapper is Horsford's Acid Phosphate ("Phosa" for short), "an ideal healthful and refreshing beverage [when] properly combined with pure fruit juices...It is exhilarating, but not intoxicating."
