The law established a 14-year period for authors to secure the right of printing, publishing, and vending their "maps, charts, and books," with an option to renew for an additional 14-year period should the author still be alive.
Includes additional domestic miscellany, ships and houses for sale, and a dispatch from Viscount de Pontevegien de Letombe regarding a skirmish between "the free-coloured people and a mob," and giving details regarding the ensuing quarrels between the leaders of the city.
