Boards rubbed along hinges with some exposure, spines darkened with additional uneven darkening to leather of Vol. I rear board, faint pencil drawings to rear Vol. I blanks, contemporary ownership signature to half titles, armorial bookplates of the early 19th-century English politician Edward Barrett Curteis to front pastedowns, else Near Very Good. Signed by John Churchill, the author's brother for whom this edition was published, at the end of the text in Vol. II. ESTC T98904.
