Octavo (21cm.); publisher's grey pictorial cloth stamped in five colors, all edges marbled, floral endpapers; [4],664pp.; illus. and maps throughout, decorative presentation leaf (unused) printed lithograph in green and black bound at head of volume. Cloth quite rubbed and worn at extremities, corners and spine ends bumped with some exposure, binding rather soiled, includng brief blue paint (?) stain at top margin of rear cover; textblock uniformly toned and rather shaken in binding. Overall a Good copy, internally clean and sound. Copyright erroneously printed "1896," two years before the conflict began.
