Three volumes in one. Folio (34.5cm.); full contemporary calf, gilt emblem to both boards of an "A.R.", gilt-ruled spine in five compartments; woodcut title page vignettes and initials throughout. Leather rather worn with mid-19th century repairs to extremities, else a Very Good example of three early Parisian editions of the works of Italian Benedictine monk Saint Anselm of Canterbury (ca. 1033-1109). Contents as follows:
1. "D. Anselmi Cantuariensis archiepiscopi..." Parisiis: Apud Audoënum Paruum, 1549. ,289ll. (*8 A-2M8 2N-O6). With publisher's emblem to title page of two rampant lions holding a shield bearing the fleur de lys.
2. "Omnia Divi Anselmi Cantuariensis archiepiscopi..." Parisiis: Apud Audoênum Paruum, 1529. ,122ll. (¶6 a-o8 p10). Identical publisher's emblem.
3. 'Anselmi Laudunensis in Cantica Canticorum..." Parisiis: Apud Poncetum le Preux, 1550. ,75,pp. (A4 b6 C-G6 H2). With the publisher's emblem to title page depicting two winged dragons holding up a seal hammered to a tree, two children, two birds, and an owl in its foliage.
