Large octavo; publisher's parchment over paper-covered boards, gilt-lettered spine; lxvii,[1],146pp.; engraved frontispiece, one color plate (tissue guard). Parchment rather foxed, boards a bit toned at extremities, later ownership rubberstamp to front pastedown, else Very Good, internally clean and sound.
A series of political letters first serialized in the "Pennsylvania Chronicle" before appearing in book form in 1768. Reissued here with a substantial introduction.
