The classic fantasy/sci-fi story by Arthur Conan Doyle, the first to star the character Professor George Edward Challenger. Inspiration for the once lost silent film adaptation from 1925 (rediscovered in the 1990s), featuring the stop-motion artistry of Willis O'Brien, a forerunner of his work on King Kong (1933).
