London: F. and C. Rivington, 1804. Very Good. Item #27371

London: F. and C. Rivington, 1804. First Edition. Octavo; removed; 48pp. Light wear and foxing, otherwise in sound and Very Good condition.

Correspondences between John Bowles and a Mr. Adam expounding Bowles' fierce disapproval of the late Duke of Bedford (mainly for not displaying model Christian observance to Bowles' liking):

"I should have never have been disposed to publish one word respecting the late Duke of Bedford, if I had not felt that the unqualified eulogies which were passed upon him [by Fox and others] had a tendency to corrupt the public sentiment by holding forth as a perfect character a noble man who, whatever his excellencies might be, was known to be deficient in his attendance on public worship."
