Small octavos (measuring 7.5 by 5.5” each); each issue around 150pp. Publisher’s stiff illustrated wraps retaining prices at rear panel (first issue $7.00, all subsequent issues $5.50). Wraps lightly bumped. Binding sound. Textblock, endsheets, and interior pages lightly toned with a few instances of foxing. Very Good or better. Inscribed and signed by Peter Gizzi to his mother at title page of the first issue. Inscription reads: “For my beloved mother — who believed in me before I believed in myself. / With all my love / Always Peter.”
Gizzi co-founded and edited o•blék: a journal of language arts with Connell McGrath. The journal featured a slate of poets associated with non-mainstream movements like Language poetry and the New York School, including Robert Creely, Ted Berrigan, Alice Notley, and Ron Padgett, among others.
