Octavo; 183pp. Printed dust jacket with original $7.95 price; book in gray paper-covered boards with blue cloth spine and silver lettering. Jacket is crisp with some toning down spine and along edges, but no chips or tears. Boards are square. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Wallace ran for president as an Independent against Richard Nixon and Humbert Humphrey in 1968. Safire was an adviser to the Nixon campaign, and became one of his chief speechwriters after he won.
