Octavo; 201pp. Illustrated dust jacket with original $5.95 price; book in blue cloth with blindstamped Nixon caricatures to front and white and gilt lettering to spine. Jacket toned along edges with shallow chips to head of spine and some bumping to corners. Boards lightly shelfworn but sturdy and square. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.

Selections from Osborne's articles for The New Republic which appeared between October 1968 and January 1970. Safire was an early adviser and speechwriter for Nixon, but left the administration in 1973 to write for The Washington Post and eventually become a regular columnist for The New York Times.
