Of course this book is out of date but the basic things [?] are still true and some of he weapons described are interesting historically." Author has also written "See page 117 for a correction. W.H.T." at bottom of full title, as well as corrected a decimal with brief explanation on said page.
Octavo; x, 705pp. Diagrams and illustrations throughout, with full-page plates and fold-outs. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Covers lightly bumped at corners and spine ends, with some scuffing down joints and fading at top back corner. Endpapers toned and foxed. Book opens easily to between gatherings, but binding is secure. Pages unmarked beyond the notes from the author mentioned above.
