A cookbook with recipes from "congressman, senators, ambassadors, journalists, and other practical hands in the kithcen." Safire's entry is for "May wine," and includes a brief profile from Wellde, who acted as his secretary for a time, on how Safire spends his time at his NY Times office.
Other recipes include peanut soup from Jimmy Carter, poached sable fish from Ted Stevens, and liver and onions from Daniel Schorr.
Unclipped dust jacket is sun faded and rubbed along edges, with one small chip at top front edge. Brown patterned boards show only light shelfwear, else fine.
