Engraved portrait frontis with tissue guard in Vol. I. Brown publisher's cloth with blind-stamped decorative border front and back; gilt-stamped spines.

All volumes with joints and hinges solid. Top edges of all spines tugged and frayed with some cloth missing on Vols. I-IV, but spines otherwise untorn, uncreased, and solid. Gilding thinned on most volumes. Most pages moderately foxed but otherwise very sound.
