Octavo (21.5 x 13 cm); vi, 7 - 339, [1] pp. Partial fold-out frontis map (approximately 15.5 x 13.5 inches) of the County of Worcester by "Charles Baker Esq. & Capn. John Pierce of said County." Top left portion of map missing (approximately 8 x 6.25 inches) remaining portion rebacked on cloth. Contemporary calf binding with lettering in gold on spine label.
Cover has expected wear with rubbing to corners and edges. Head and foot of spine chipped. Binding sound. Bookplate on front pastedown states: "The Property of the Proprietors of a Social Library. In the Town of Warren (County of Lincoln) Formed from a division of the 'Friendly Society,' Instituted 1787. Price, $1.50." Previous owner's name and the date 1847 written in ink on front free endpaper. Some notes in pencil as well. Pages foxed, but otherwise clean and unmarked.
