Boards worn at extremities, with cracking and bumping exposing the corners. Binding secure, though book opens easily between some gatherings with pages 115-125 loose but holding. Bottom half of front free endpaper torn away. Endpapers show extensive pencil doodling, presumably by a juvenile, with some pencil scribbling, marks, and drawings throughout text. Pages with moderate to occasionally heavy foxing, with a few stains.
Includes chapters on meats, soups, pastry, preserves, carving and trussing, and 'giving an entertainment,' among others.
