Boards rather rubbed, leather a bit dried and spine crown pulled, else Near Very Good and sound. From the library of the Union soldier Horace Binney Sargent, who was present, among others, at the battle of Antietam, his armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Additional ownership signature of Horace B. Sargent, Jr., to title page, though Sargent fils, a suicide, would predecease his father by twelve years.
