Contemporary binding with green cloth on spine and light cream paper over boards with a Vanessa Bell illustration of flowers on the front. Lacks dust jacket, now in protective mylar cover. Deckled edges.

Paper title label on spine toned with rubbing, but text remains legible. Cover edges and corners rubbed. Slight worming to bottom edge of back cover. Front hinge split with linen showing, but text block remains secure. Previous owner's name on top right corner of front free endpaper in ink dated "Christmas 1928". Some minor notes in margins in light pencil. Vast majority of pages are clean and unmarked.

Compilation of eleven Hogarth Essays first published in England by Hogarth Press in 1924 and 1928. Authors include Virginia Woolf, Gertrude Stein, T. S. Eliot, Robert Graves, and E. M. Forster.
