Dred Scott versus Sanford case printed on pages 393 through 633. Printed two years after the first edition, which was published in New York and DC in 1857.
Lightly worn at extremities with general scuffing and some black staining to rear board. Labels chipped along spine with significant loss. Binding is sound and neatly reinforced at hinges. Library of Congress plate and deaccession stamp to front pastedown. Edges of many pages chipped (incl. title page) and some with tape repair.
