Lovely copy of John Williams' small poetry collection published by Alan Swallow as the second volume in his "Verb Poetry Series." A few months later Williams saw the appearance of his novel Stoner to limited commercial acclaim; only when it was recently reissued by New York Review Books has the author been recognized as the author of a literary masterpiece.
