The events of Queen Zixi take place in two regions that border Oz, and the story was reportedly Baum's favorite and "nearer to the "old-fashioned" fairy tale than anything I have yet accomplished."
Boards are worn at extremities with exposure. Spine a bit faded. Binding gives a little but is sound. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Some smudging to preliminaries, but interior pages clean and unmarked.
