History of the Order, a splinter group of the original Brith Abraham fraternal organization first founded by German and Hungarian Jewish immigrants in New York City. Published on the occasion of the Independent Order's golden jubilee, celebrated in New York, June 6-8, 1937. The final unpaginated 104pp. consist of a directory of local lodges.

Extensive gift inscription to front free endpaper: "To my friend M.L.[?] Herman / [illegible] on Jewish Rights. From E.H. Stone, former recording secretary, Harmony Lodge 783 and Delegate to Convention 1937."
