Card wrapper with cover photo and green lettering around sewn textblock. Wrapper shows moisture staining to spine, and subsequent rippling to rear cover and final portfolio of images—some sticking at gutter for final two blank leaves. (See photo for example of gutter staining.) All pages, text, and images clear and usable.

Nagapattinam—on the Tamil coast of southeastern India, and the site of a regional Buddhist center—has given its name to a tradition of bronze figures of the Buddha and other deities. This volume is the longstanding authoritative catalog of those bronzes in the Madras Government Museum.
