Very Good. Item #9990
New York and Milan: Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and Galleria Lawrence Rubin, 1999. First Edition. Octavo (30x21.5x1cm); 63pp. Forty-eight B&W photographic works by Warhol.
Photographic card covers. Each individual work (made up of multiple adjacent images) is given its own page. A small scrape and dent on the front cover within the "W" of Warhol, perhaps the vestige of over-earnest sticker removal. Volume could otherwise be Near Fine. Card spine uncreased and uncracked. Volume has clearly never been fully opened, hence the careful curvey-wurveyness of our internal photograph.
Warhol's "stitching" consists of duplicating—most often quadruplicating—photographs, sometimes with slight cosmetic changes, and joining them side to side and bottom to top in tabular layouts.
This is the catalog for the Warhol show of stitched photographs in Milan 23 September-30 October 1999 and in New York 10 November-30 December 1999.
