Robert Smithson (1938-1973) is most widely known for his "Spiral Jetty" in the Great Salt Lake in Utah. The is the richly augmented catalog for the Smithson show that ran at the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art from 12 September to 13 December 2004, traveling afterward to Dallas and the Whitney in New York City.
