Draw the Curtain Close

New York: Jefferson House, 1947. Good / Good. Item #12032

New York: Jefferson House, 1947. First Edition. Octavo; publisher's boards in pictorial price-clipped dust jacket by Charles Lofgren; [8],212pp. Evidence of partly-removed ex-library markings, including rather substantial old yellow tape to jacket flaps and boards with subsequent offsetting to endpapers, bookplate to rear pastedown partially removed, top quarter inch of jacket trimmed away affecting text with loss of meaning; textblock uniformly toned, small ink scribble to front free endpaper. Overall Good only, though textblock clean and sound.

From the front jacket flap blurb: "What's in a book to make a redhead like Marilyn Mayfair (who can't read anything unless it's printed on greenbacks) offer you $30,000 for it?" What indeed.

Price: $50.00
