The author's copies of this monumental bibliography with her signatures to front free endpapers, Vol. II also labelled "Working copy" with Chambers' faint pencil marginalia throughout. Both volumes were eventually given to a colleague to whom Chambers has inscribed and signed in Italian on versos of both half titles.
