Three parts in one volume; quarto (21cm.); full contemporary roan, gilt spine, all edges red, marbled endpapers; [8],192,[1],135,[3],48,[1]pp. (collated, presumed complete); woodcut initials, head- and tail-pieces. Leather rather scuffed and dried with extensive surface peeling to both boards, exposure along margins and spine edges, shallow loss at spine crown, large paper flaw to front pastedown from previously-removed ex libris, occasional contemporary marginalia and scribbles to front flyleaf, else a Good to Very Good, internally clean and sound example.
Collection of colloquial Italian speeches and orations compiled by the scholar and publisher Francesco Sansovino (1521-1586), first published in 1561.
