Three volumes bound in one; folio (32.5cm.); full contemporary roan, gilt spine in seven compartments, all edges stained red, marbled endpapers; each volume with separate pagination, collated complete; woodcut initials, head- and tail-pieces, text printed in double columns throughout. Leather significantly peeled and rather scuffed and bumped at margins, a few leaves browned, else a Very Good, internally clean and sound copy overall.
Later edition of works by the Spanish bishop Antonio de Guevara (c. 1481-1545), prominent member of the court of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor.
