Two volumes in one; 12mo (16cm.); full contemporary brown morocco, gilt spine; 108; 108pp.; engraved frontispieces at head of each volume, nine leaves of plates. Leather a bit dried and rubbed at margins, shallow loss at spine crown, brief cracking to front joint, endpapers toned, contemporary ownership inscription to front free endpaper, else a Very Good, clean and sound copy in a lovely binding.

Collection of brief comic vignettes adorned with woodcuts by the notable American cartoonist and engraver David Claypoole Johnston (1799-1865). An uncommonly nice copy in contemporary binding.
