Jacket rubbed, scuffed and creased at margins with loss to head of sunned spine and toning to back panel and joins. Minor water staining at spine and chips to margins. Board corners and spine ends bumped and lightly worn with minor bumping and soiling to margins. Former owner return address sticker to first free endsheet and brief pencil to rear free endsheet, otherwise pages clean. Magazine clipping of Bontemps bio loosely laid in at pages 156-157, maybe used as a bookmark. A Very Good or better copy in a Good jacket.
Arna Bontemps was a poet, novelist, and member of the Harlem Renaissance who also worked hard to preserve African-American cultural heritage.
