First appearance of this guide for the already seasoned birder (there are no illustrations of the birds themselves). Instead, the handbook is mostly made up of charts providing infographics that include how common the bird is to the region, nesting dates, and locality and habitat keys.

OCLC locates four copies as of April, 2025, that at the National Agricultural Library, in Maryland, the only holding in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.
